  • SRT SOLUTIONS HOSTS MAY 20 OPEN SPACES EVENT

Peer-to-Peer and Expert Discussions Help Software Pros Learn Latest Technologies

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – APRIL 17, 2008 – ANN ARBOR, MICH. –
SRT Solutions, Ann Arbor’s software thought leaders, will host an Open Spaces event on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  The unique and interactive Open Spaces format will help technical decision makers, software developers and architects learn current information on the latest advances in the ever-evolving software industry.

SRT Solutions’ May 20 Open Spaces event will kick off with participant lightning talks, which are 5 minute blasts of information from anyone in attendance.  Lightning talks provide each individual a 5-minute open forum to offer news, challenges, or resources for discussion with the attendee group.  Starting Open Spaces with lightning talks is aimed at provoking thoughts and topics that attendees can explore and discuss throughout the day.

“Kicking off our Open Spaces event with lightning talks will set the interactive tone of the day,” explained SRT Solutions co-founder and Microsoft regional director Bill Wagner.  “The goal of Open Spaces is to help software technologists collaboratively learn and discuss the latest programming languages and platforms as well as how these emerging technologies can be woven into current practices to meet business needs.”

Attendees to SRT Solutions’ Open Spaces event will have opportunities to discuss business software challenges in a collaborative forum, ultimately gaining valuable, real-world insight and resources that can be applied back on the job.

“Staying current with software advancements and opportunities is a challenge for anyone who has day-to-day tasks and responsibilities,” Wagner added.  “Open Spaces is a forum for participants to learn from one another and from the experts on the SRT Solutions’ team. The software industry moves quickly, so continuous learning in an interactive format -- proven effective for adults -- is critical to maintaining an innovative edge.”

The fee for attending SRT Solutions’ Open Spaces event is $100.  Space is limited to 20 attendees and registration is required.  To register, visit www.SRTSolutions.com.
