Why blog at all?

I hope the final reason is because I have something to say about .NET development. These are exciting times for .NET:

Just as we are getting our heads around the 1.x versions of .NET, we get to start looking at Whidbey. There are times I get the impression that .NET 1.0 was just the core development tools necessary to facilitate all the additions coming in Whidbey.

I'm excited about what I'm doing as well: speaking at DevDays in Detroit on Smart Client Development, writing Effective C#, and helping companies leverage .NET to create new software that was impossible, or just too expensive with previous tools.  Stay tuned.
